How do I book a tour?
You can book directly online through our website. For private tours, contact us first to confirm time and availability — we’ll send a direct booking link.
Can I pay online with credit card?
Yes. Payments are made securely via Stripe when you confirm your booking. All major credit and debit cards are accepted.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. Full refund if cancelled at least 48 hours before the start. Within 48 hours, bookings are non-refundable. If we cancel due to weather or safety reasons, you’ll receive a full refund or can reschedule.
Is there a minimum group size?
Yes. Regular group tours require at least two confirmed bookings to run. If only one person books, we’ll contact you to reschedule or offer a private option instead.
Private tours, however, are always guaranteed — even for one participant.
What languages are tours offered in?
All tours are guided in English. Norwegian guiding is available upon request for local groups.
How do I confirm my booking?
You’ll receive a confirmation email after booking. You only need to show your name or email at the meeting point — no printed ticket required.

Where do tours start?
Statue Hunt Tromsø starts at Stortorget by the Rakettkiosken in the city centre.
Promenade Walk and Run & Relax start at Tromsø Cathedral.

How do I recognize the guide?
Your guide carries a backpack and a camera. You can also recognize them from photos on our About Us page and on Instagram (@heitromso). Take a look before your tour so you know who to meet at the starting point.
How do we get back after the Promenade Walk?
We return to the city centre by local bus — tickets are included in your tour price.
How do we return after Run & Relax?
Transport to Tromsøbadet is included. You return by bus from Rødhettestien stop. I’ll show you the correct direction after your spa visit.

What is Statue Hunt Tromsø?
It’s a 5.5 km guided city walk exploring Tromsø’s public art and monuments. Expect about 30 stops with short, engaging stories — from polar explorers to hidden modern works. Duration: 2.5 hours. Price: NOK 450 per person / NOK 3,500 for private groups (up to 6).
How long is the Arctic Promenade Walk?
Around 6 km (approx. 3 hours), including a scenic stop with coffee/tea and a local pastry. Ends at Telegrafbukta, where there’s also a public toilet, before we take the bus back.
When is Run & Relax available?
Run & Relax runs between June 1 and October 15 each year, depending on weather and trail conditions.
How long and how fast is Run & Relax?
The run lasts up to 90 minutes (6–12.5 km) with a moderate pace (8–10 km/h). For private tours, both distance and speed are fully adjustable — it can be short and easy, or long and fast, depending on your group’s wishes.
Do you take photos during the tours?
Photo service is offered only on private tours. You’ll receive the photos by Dropbox link or email within 48 hours after your tour.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Tours go ahead in most conditions — light rain or snow is part of the Arctic charm! In case of unsafe conditions (storm, extreme ice, etc.), we’ll reschedule or refund.
👀 What You’ll See & Experience
What will I see on Statue Hunt Tromsø?
You’ll visit Tromsø’s famous monuments like Roald Amundsen and the Arctic Hunting and Fishing Monument, plus many lesser-known sculptures, murals, and artistic details hidden in plain sight.
Will I see wildlife?
Reindeer can sometimes be spotted during Run & Relax tours, especially in forested areas. Along the Promenade Walk and in the city, you might see Arctic birdlife such as seagulls, ducks, and crows.
Are there toilets available?
Yes. There’s a public toilet halfway on the Statue Hunt, and another at Telegrafbukta (end of the Promenade Walk).
Can we stop for coffee or snacks?
Only short coffee stops are possible on private tours. The Promenade Walk includes a coffee break with pastries; Statue Hunt does not include café stops.

What should I wear?
Dress in layers and wear weatherproof shoes. Tromsø’s weather changes quickly! Brodder (ice grips) are available in winter when sidewalks are icy.

Statue Hunt Tromsø and Promenade Walk are available all year (weather permitting).
Run & Relax runs from June 1 – October 15.
Are the tours suitable for everyone?
Yes, though basic fitness is recommended. The Statue Hunt is on pavement; other tours include some uneven terrain and small hills.
What if I arrive late?
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early. Late arrivals might miss the start, as tours begin on time out of respect for other participants.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome on the Statue Hunt Tromsø and Promenade Walk if kept on a leash and if the weather is suitable. Dogs are not allowed inside Tromsøbadet.

Are children welcome?
Yes. Children aged 10+ can join the Promenade Walk and Statue Hunt with an adult. Younger guests are also welcome on Run & Relax if they’re fit enough for the distance.
Can I combine tours?
Yes — for example, you can combine the Promenade Walk and Statue Hunt. Please contact us for a custom quote and note that participants must be fit for a longer walk.

What happens if it snows?
Tours continue in light snow — it adds atmosphere! In heavy snow or stormy conditions, we reschedule or refund.
Can I take photos during the tours?
Of course! You’re encouraged to take your own photos anytime during the tour.
What time of day are tours held?
Most tours start around 10:00 AM. Private tours can be arranged at custom times, including evening departures in summer under the midnight sun.
What currency do you accept?
All prices are in Norwegian Kroner (NOK). International cards are accepted through Stripe.
Is tipping expected?
Tipping is not expected in Norway, but always appreciated if you enjoyed your tour!
What’s the best season to visit?
Each season offers something unique — snow and northern lights in winter, midnight sun and greenery in summer. Statue Hunt and Promenade Walk are enjoyable all year round.
Can I join if it’s dark outside?
Yes. During darker months, the guide provides reflective gear, and the routes are safe with city lighting.
Are restrooms available at the start?
Yes, there are public toilets near Tromsø Cathedral and at Stortorget.
What’s included in the tour price?
Guiding, stories, and local insights. For some tours: transport tickets, light refreshments, and reflective gear when needed.
Can I see the Northern Lights or Midnight Sun?
The Northern Lights can sometimes be visible from the city between September and March, while the Midnight Sun shines from mid-May to late July — perfect for late tours!
Is the guide a local?
Yes. All tours are guided by a local who knows Tromsø’s history, culture, and hidden details — giving you an authentic experience.
